Öznur Çelikkan

Öznur Çelikkan is an independent designer and the founder of Sculpta Type Foundry, based in Turkey. Her approach to type design is influenced by sculpture, ornament, architecture, and contemporary visual culture. She focuses on the relationship between proportion, rhythm, silhouette, structure, and negative space to create original letterforms with a distinctive identity. Her work is primarily directed toward expressive display typefaces for branding, editorial design, packaging, posters, fashion, cultural projects, and premium visual identities. Through Sculpta Type Foundry, she aims to develop professionally constructed and technically usable font families that balance artistic expression with functional typography. Her long-term goal is to build a diverse collection of original typefaces while exploring contemporary, sculptural, ornamental, and historically inspired design approaches.
