Terrestrial Design

Terrestrial Design is the type foundry arm of Crossgrove Studio, the design studio of Carl Crossgrove. The Studio produces textile designs, tile, lighting, ceramics and furniture as well as typefaces, lettering and alphabet systems. Crossgrove's background is in printmaking, drawing, lettering, book arts and typography, as well as various crafts like ceramics, glasswork, paper marbling, papermaking and textile design. His typefaces reveal an organic and humanist approach, and a high degree of craft. Super-families and display designs, immersive text and advertising families, Crossgrove's type design work covers a wide range of styles and purposes.
